«Clothing has the power to define a person and their position. Although it is often an obstacle for women in positions of power, whether as a distraction or minimization of their success or value, it also serves as a strategic tool of communication. This tool, however, paradoxically seems more accessible to women than to men, who are trapped in the cycle of standardized suits, hair or tie colors.»

The «First Husbands» collection deals with the position and perception of women in positions of power. Their clothing and the way in which women present themselves in public life often becomes the subject of public debate. Angela Merkel and Margaret Thatcher in particular are regularly portrayed in a satirical context and ironically discussed in terms of their femininity. I designed a collection for the male partner of the political woman and put the focus of satire and fashion analysis on him. Thus I illuminated the position of the «First Husband» and developed an aesthetic proposal, which ironically questions the position and clothing of the man and let female and male dress codes and color worlds merge.
